Yes — every UK limited company must have a registered office address in the same part of the UK where it's registered (England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland). Under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act rules that took effect on 4 March 2024, it must be an 'appropriate address' where post reaches the company, so a PO box alone is no longer allowed. Every UK limited company must file a confirmation statement with Companies House at least once every 12 months — confirming its registered office, directors, shareholders, SIC code and people with significant control — as well as annual accounts. You must register for VAT once your taxable turnover exceeds the £90,000 threshold in any 12-month period, and you can also register voluntarily.
